Este Sábado o mítico cinema São Jorge recebe a primeira edição do Quarto Escuro, espectáculo onde ninguém sabe quem são os convidados.
O total da bilheteira vai, integralmente, para a Maria da Conceição.
Mas, quem é ela?
Em 2005, Maria da Conceição criou a Fundação Maria Cristina (nome da sua mãe adoptiva) de forma a intervir nas favelas de Daca, no Bangladesh, uma das zonas mais pobres do mundo, para promover a educação de crianças e de as tirar da pobreza extrema.
A promessa era ajudar 100 famílias, hoje já vai em 600. De forma a atrair a atenção dos media para a situação dramática que se vive em Daca, onde os níveis de trabalho infantil são assustadores, a Maria da Conceição decidiu bater recordes desportivos, e sem nunca antes ter practicado nenhuma modalidade, fez ultra maratonas, atravessou o Canal da Mancha a nado e subiu o Everest, sempre com as “suas” crianças como luz motivadora. A Maria da Conceição já teve algum reconhecimento, como s personalidade do ano para a GQ.
Agora cabe-nos ajudar esta portuguesa que vive para tirar estes meninos e meninas da total e devastadora miséria.
O que vamos fazer?
Um espectáculo às escuras, onde ninguém do público saberá o que o espera. Haverá uma luz em palco, que se acende e apaga, à medida que cada convidado entra, para mostrar a sua arte. Intermitente, portanto. E duas vozes, que apresentam cada um dos intervenientes surpresa, todos eles incríveis. É isto. E não é pouco. Precisamos da ajuda de todos. O objectivo é fazer um espectáculo que supere as expectativas de alguém que vai ver um espectáculo às escuras.
Iremos dar 100% da receita – os bilhetes vão custar 10 euros – portanto, se o São Jorge encher teremos 8000 euros para dar à Fundação Maria Cristina. Sábado, das 17 às 18h30!
